FAQ
Questions, answered.
Membership, trips, payments and the community.
General
What exactly is Frontiers?
A community for ambitious people building interesting lives and work. We bring members together through trips, experiences and the relationships that happen around them.
Who is it for?
Founders, creators, builders and ambitious people doing meaningful work and generous enough to make the room better.
Membership
Is membership free?
Membership is free. Trips and experiences are paid for individually.
How does the application work?
Tell us what you're working on, what you're interested in and what you'd bring to Frontiers. We review every application and get back to you after.
What if I'm not accepted?
We'll tell you directly. And if the timing isn't right, you're welcome to apply again later.
Trips
Will I know anyone?
Probably not at first. That's part of the point. We bring together people who are likely to get along, and the group usually feels familiar surprisingly quickly.
Can I get work done on a trip?
Yes. Trips leave room for work, but they're not work retreats. There's structure when it matters and plenty of space to explore, connect and switch off.
Payments & bookings
How do trip payments work?
An initial deposit secures your place, and the remaining balance can be spread across up to 2–3 instalments before departure. We offer flexible payment options for members across our community.
What is the cancellation policy?
Plans change. We understand. More than 60 days before departure, you'll receive a full refund. Between 30 and 60 days, your deposit is retained and the remaining balance is refunded. Within 30 days, we'll do our best to help you transfer your place to another member or a future trip where possible.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, it's required on every trip and must include medical cover and repatriation. We ask for your policy number before departure.
Community
What actually happens in the community between trips?
The community stays active between trips through local experiences, conversations, introductions and smaller gatherings.
Is there a minimum commitment?
There's no formal attendance requirement, but we expect members to stay genuinely engaged, ideally joining at least one trip or experience each year and contributing to the community along the way.
